Sterling Vineyards’ Napa Valley wines show the depth, strength, and expressive quality of California’s most famous wine region. Deeply saturated in color, Sterling Vineyards’ 2023 Napa Valley Petite Sirah presents an intense, inky purple hue in the glass. Its rich aromas of blackberry, violet, maraschino cherry, and slate are seasoned with a dash of white pepper, evoking the bouquet of a wildflower thicket on a hillside. Dark fruit pervades the mouth, with juicy flavors of black currant, blackberry, and plum enriched by a balsamic character. Silky and well-structured, this fruit-driven wine finishes with a lingering taste of black peppercorn and Amarena cherry. Pair this luscious Petite Sirah with hearty meals such as braised lamb, brisket, or roasted portobello mushrooms.
