Where 2021 showed pronounced density, drought-driven concentration, and darker, more opulent tones, the 2022 vintage leans toward lift, polish, and structural precision while delivering the depth expected of Sterling’s highest expression of Napa Valley Cabernet. Described as showing depth, polish, and age-worthy structure, with layered aromas of blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry rise from the glass, accented by violet, cedar, and cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and finely-textured, with concentrated dark fruit framed by polished tannins and a thread of freshness keeping the wine composed and energetic.
