About the Calistoga Wine Region

Calistoga in an American Viticulture Area (AVA) that is mostly valley floor topography, flanked by Diamond Mountain in the west and Howell Mountain in the east. Because it is the most northerly Napa Valley region AVA, farthest from the cooling effects of the San Francisco Bay, the temperatures are often the hottest - perfect for growing amazing Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel.
