“This wine would normally have been a single-vineyard designate from Sleeping Lady vineyard, but this fruit from there was still hanging during the fires in 2017. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville was aged for 18 months in French oak, 95% new. It sings of blackcurrant pastilles, blueberry preserves and Morello cherries with touches of pencil shavings, camphor, sandalwood and truffles. Full-bodied, firmly textured and chock-full of black fruit preserves and loads of spicy accents, it finishes long and refreshing. 460 cases were made.” - Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW
“Wild blackberry, tobacco, mahogany, walnut husk and oyster shell on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Beautifully layered and polished with an elegant, long finish.” - James Suckling, January 2021
