“Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder was aged for 18 months in oak: 91% French and 9% Hungarian (82% new). Deep purple-black colored, it bursts from the glass with vibrant scents of wild blueberries, boysenberries and crushed blackcurrants with an undercurrent of eucalyptus, dark chocolate, cinnamon stick and bouquet garni. The full-bodied palate is structured with a solid frame of grainy tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the muscular fruit, finishing long with compelling earthy nuances. 250 cases were made.” - Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW
“Ripe-currant, cassis, spearmint, soil and licorice aromas on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Rich and concentrated with dark spices and herbs on the finish.” - James Suckling, January 2021
